WHAT HAPPENED?
According to journalist , the Blues have initiated talks with the Brazilian giants to sign their 17-year-old forward Estevao Willian, also known as 'Messinho'. At one point, Real Madrid had shown interest in signing the youngster, but they are now out of the transfer race.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Last week it was reported that the Premier League giants were preparing a third bid worth €55 million (£47m/$58m) after reportedly failing with their first two offers for the teenage sensation. Palmeiras boss Abel Ferreira, however, requested the club to retain the player's services at least until 2027.
